Finding a JOB!



UNIT III

In this unit we had to write a resume and a cover letter to find a job… This unit was full of new vocabulary and professional expressions. Here are the job I’ve found and the resume and cover letter I’ve written.

Job Description

Growing Publishing Firm located in Tampa, FL looking for employee who has website as well as magazine design experience.

Job duties include:
* The management of a handful of websites and working on magazine design projects.
* Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
* Plans concept by studying information and materials.
* Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
* Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
* Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Graphic Design: Must be proficient in
Dreamweaver, Swish And Webstyle 4, Flash and PHP a plus.

Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator and InDesign. Magazine layout and design experience a plus.

(TS) Looking for a graphic designer job is interesting and really hard too! (D1) When you are a graphic designer and you’re looking for a job you have to be interested about learning new things every single day, because this is a career witch work with a lot of different areas and you must design ads for products in different markets. (D2) Furthermore you have to be a flexible and easy going person to adapt yourself to different schedules. (D3) Besides a graphic designer have to agree with being a lot of hours working with a computer and know everything about design’s softwares and web pages. (CS) It’s not easy find a job if you are a graphic designer, you should be original and work really hard to get the position you deserve.
